Former Unisys VP joins as chief executive to drive global growth
NorthgateArinso, the global provider of HR systems and services, has appointed a new chief executive to spearhead global development of the HR division of Northgate Information Solutions.
Mike Ettling has joined the company in this newly created position from his previous role as VP for global outsourcing and infrastructure at Unisys, where he has worked for the last four years, leading the Global BPO business and the outsourcing business in continental Europe. Prior to Unisys, Ettling held senior strategic roles with Synstar and EDS, and has managed businesses in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
“Mike Ettling joins us with first-rate international industry experience. He’s in a prime position to help NorthgateArinso achieve its target of becoming the number one international provider of HR systems and services,” said Chris Stone, Group Chief Executive at Northgate Information Solutions.
“Planned software development heralds exciting times for the company, and will open up new, high-growth opportunities for us across the business,” continued Stone. “Since the acquisition of ARINSO in May 2007 the business has performed very well. The addition of a new team member will help us to build on this success at a global level.”
“I am excited to be taking the helm of NorthgateArinso. We have international reach and presence, some unique products and solutions, and people with a great track record in delivering client satisfaction. This combined with our entrepreneurial spirit and agility in the market will enable us to capitalise on the current economic conditions through enabling our clients to save costs and improve efficiencies,” said Ettling
Originally from South Africa, Ettling holds a Masters in Finance from the London Business School, UK, and is a graduate of the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is married with two children.
Ettling started working on February 2, 2009 and will be based in the UK.
