NorthgateArinso boosts efficiency and accuracy of SAP HCM

HR Accelerators reduce implementation and administration time for SAP HCM customers

Organisations using SAP to manage HR processes will receive a helping hand from NorthgateArinso today as it unveils its updated HR Accelerators Suite. NorthgateArinso, the global Human Resources software and services provider, has optimised its existing portfolio of SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) tools. Called HR Accelerators, the unique set of tools reduces the time it takes to automate many HR processes and to customise SAP HCM for a company’s needs.

HR Accelerators include Implementation and Operations Suites, which are designed to make HR processes more user-friendly and to increase stability, compliance and performance. NorthgateArinso is investing in these tools with the goal of giving HR teams more time to focus on managing people.

The Implementation Suite includes tools that test data and scenarios to ensure the system is performing to their requirements, which can reduce the time spent on the testing phase of the project implementation by 50%. During ongoing application maintenance, a productivity gain of around 20% can be reached. For example, the HR Transfer component means real workforce information can be copied onto a test system to check if a HR legal change has an impact on the payroll. It can also be used to populate a training system – making it easier to get HR staff up-to-speed on new elements of the system.

Once the SAP HCM system is implemented, the Operations Suite allows the HR end-user to focus on personnel issues, instead of on repetitive,
time-consuming administrative tasks. The Operations Suite includes features to simplify HR reporting, to enable better maintenance with less effort, and to help organisations become more compliant.

“These tools are the culmination of almost 15 years of experience in customising SAP for HR departments worldwide,” said Gregory Tutt, HR Accelerators Product Manager at NorthgateArinso. “Automating the
labour-intensive work around implementation and administration has a
knock-on effect on cost, reducing the expenditure on implementing SAP for HCM, providing a quicker return on investment and making day-to-day HR administration more cost-effective.”

HR Accelerators also form part of NorthgateArinso’s full-service approach, whereby its 2,000 consultants strong System Integration (SI) business leverages the tools to excel in efficiency and accuracy in SAP HCM projects – setting the division apart from other SAP HCM integrators.

The HR Accelerators Implementation Suite includes HR Transfer, to transfer SAP data from a system to another and enable data scrambling for data privacy and security reasons. Another tool is HR Checker, which verifies the impact of changes and tests, and detects discrepancies in all SAP HCM, time and payroll data during migrations, upgrades or other modifications.

The HR Accelerators Operations Suite is a set of applications helping the HR staff to accurately deliver HR services. It includes HR Query, a flexible reporting tool for ad-hoc personnel requests; HR DataControl, which provides a filter that monitors selected SAP HCM data changes so that users can make and log changes; and Career History, which stores information about an individual’s career development pragmatically, making the data more
user-friendly.

The Suites were created in-house by highly qualified SAP-certified developers. NorthgateArinso recently won the 2008 SAP® Pinnacle Award for its contribution in the area of business process outsourcing.
