NorthgateArinso, the leading global Human Resources software and services provider, today announced it has provided TeliaSonera, a global provider of telecommunication services, with an integrated human resources (HR) reporting system.
The new SAP-based system provides TeliaSonera with a single HR platform, which supports more efficient planning and targeting of HR functions including recruitment and internal training.
With the merger of Telia and Sonera in 2002, the processes and IT systems of the two companies were harmonised, switching over to an SAP-based system. NorthgateArinso provided TeliaSonera with one reporting system, which is visual, easy and intuitive to use.
“In order for HR to work as efficiently as possible, we needed HR information to be accurate and available in real time. Our VPs and managers needed a better overall view of this information,” said TeliaSonera’s group HR process manager Lars-Erik Johansson. “Managers also need to access and process information themselves, as this speeds up the collection of data.”
TeliaSonera selected NorthgateArinso as the provider of the SAP based HR system. “We were looking for a partner with tried and tested expertise, and we found it in NorthgateArinso. The implementation of the new system went very well, and our cooperation was a very positive experience,” Johansson continued. “They are true experts and built exactly the system we wanted.”
The HR system delivered to TeliaSonera includes the following SAP HCM functionalities: workforce management, organisation management, time management, recruiting and rewarding, and travel management.1,900 executives and managers, and 200 HR employees use the system. It covers 17,000 TeliaSonera employees in Finland and Sweden.
