NorthgateArinso (NGA), the leading global provider of HR systems and services, has appointed Gery Messer to the position of President for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA).
Messer will spearhead the company’s growth in the region and have responsibility for all aspects of the company’s APMEA operations including sales, marketing, R&D and customer service.
The appointment underlines NGA’s continued commitment to this region and to growing its APMEA customer community. Messer brings a wealth of high-tech and consulting expertise and business leadership skills to the NGA team. Prior to joining NGA, he has spent the last 25 years working in a number of key leadership roles building and directing businesses for global companies across Europe and Asia Pacific including Red Hat, EMC, Deloitte, SAP and IBM.
“Gery’s breadth of knowledge and experience from leading global companies across Europe and Asia Pacific will help us maximize the potential offered by growth markets in APMEA,” commented Mike Ettling, CEO at NGA. “As our global customers continue to expand their workforces in this region, Gery will help us to strengthen ties with existing global clients and partners at the same time as broadening our regional customer base and solutions footprint in the market.”
“It’s an exciting time to join NGA given the company’s evolution in the HR sector globally,” said Messer. “I am obviously thrilled at the opportunity to head the APMEA region and share my experiences from the many diverse markets that make up the region. We have a great team here and I know they will be right behind me in strengthening and developing NGA’s position in an important market.” Based at the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore, Messer will report directly to Mike Ettling, Chief Executive.
